Naz Shah, the Bradford West MP accused of antisemitism, has been suspended from the Labour party “by mutual agreement” after David Cameron said it was “extraordinary” that someone who appeared to have suggested Israelis should be deported to the US continued to hold the Labour whip.
Jeremy Corbyn had earlier said he would not suspend the MP, who then issued a “heartfelt apology” in the House of Commons.
His aides defended her, saying the comments were antisemitic but the MP had “shocked herself” and did not mean what she said, so she could not be described as antisemitic.
But little more than two hours later, Labour announced that Shah had been suspended “by mutual agreement” while claims against her were investigated by Labour’s national executive committee.
A Labour party spokesman said on Wednesday: “Jeremy Corbyn and Naz Shah have mutually agreed that she is administratively suspended from the Labour party by the general secretary.
“Pending investigation, she is unable to take part in any party activity and the whip is removed.”

Are you so utterly brain-dead that you think this 5th? You do realise that Israel is surrounded by terrorist organisations whose sole purpose is the destruction of Israel? By countries who wish to wipe Israel off the map? By people who will never recognise the state of Israel? In such circumstances Israel has every right to defend itself. There will never be peace in the region until Israel is recognised by those around it.
It's clear that, going back to the OP, you're exactly the type of person Naz Shah was speaking to.

I'm not being the idiot here and I'm not supporting what Livingstone has said either. I'm simply commenting on your statement about something Livingstone did not mention and putting into perspective that whole sorry plight in the Balkans in WW2.
Care to comment on the Balkan genocide perpetrated on the orthadox Serbs by the Catholic Croats.

Discredit Livingstone. Dear God man hasn't he done that enough. The very idea that Hitler was a Zionist is absurd. He wanted the Jews out of Germany, he had no good intentions to it. Holocaust was the final solution. If you think Livingstone is correct you're a proper fucking idiot.
There were plenty of Muslim guards at Jasenovac. That's a fact.

During WW2 the number of Serbs killed by Bosnian Muslims pales into insignificance compared to the number of Serbs killed by the ustase catholic Croats. The puppet nazi Croat state also forced orthadox Serbs to convert to catholicism in the hundreds of thousands. No wonder Livingstone did not mention it.

Sterling up till now I've never had cause to mention. If you like I will post on here everytime I hear of a Muslim bombing. I doubt it will be everytime it happens cos I'm not a resident, but when I notice one I will.
One thing the Israelis don't hide their rockets in the midsts of civilians.

It's fair to say that plenty anti-semites use criticism of Israel to promote their agenda, but on the flip side, criticism of Israel is often labelled anti-semitic, without it necessarily being so.
I don't agree that questioning the right of Israel to exist is anti-semitic at all. It's anti-Zionist. There are people that view them as one and the same, but then there are plenty of Jews who don't. Are they anti-Semites?
Criticising 'the right of Israel to exist' isn't necessarily a black and white position. I have no issue in principle of a democratic state based on Jewish principles. What I do take issue with is the imposition of a Jewish state on the native Arabs living on the land, who were then forcibly removed from their homes with no right of return.
How can it possibly be right that I can go and live in Israel, but people whose families lived there for generations prior to 1948 are denied this right?

Questioning Israel's right to exist is not per se anti-Semitic.
Once you accept that questioning Israel's right to exist is anti-Semitic, you end up calling Jews who question that right "self-hating" Jews.
Look up selbsthass on Google and see who else spouts "self-hating" drivel.
It's a standard formula of the far right.

criticism of Israel govt = fine.

Even though the Labour Party doesn't seem very good at it at the moment, ALL the mainstream parties engage in a ferocious amount of spin, 90% plus of anti-Semites hide behind the anti-Zionist label, a large number of Zionists claim that non-anti-Semitic criticism of Israel is anti-Semitism...

No, its not "just like so many other religions and races" - the nazis, supported by their allies tried to wipe out the entire jewish race. Millions died in concentration camps after undergoing inhumane treatment, starvation and perverse medical experiments. The treatment of the jews can not be compared to other religions or races either in its nature or its scale.
I'll try to make this clear, as I honestly believe that many who make anti-semitic statements do not truly believe that they are being anti-semitic.
If you question the legitimacy of Israel, the homeland of the jews, then by its extension, to a jewish person, this is anti-semitic as it questions their very existence and purpose.
You may not agree with this, but I can assure you it is a fact.

Rio - of course there must be. People who hate jews don't see Israel as an excuse do they. However much it may surprise you, I have yet to come face to face with a muslim/non muslim who says I fckg hate Judiasm/Jews. Why would they? As I've said previously, the views are very strong re human rights, treatment of Palestinians (muslim + christians) etc..by every single Israeli government + army.
Maybe people need to examine why the hatred of jews in Europe led to them being expelled so many times and to what Hitler did. I can understand why the jewish race is so traumatised. Just like so many other religions and races, they have suffered. One suffering is not above another is it? What surprises me so much is that the abused has become the abuser. The comparisons by jews themselves to what the Palestinians go through and what jews went through less than a century ago are a rude awakening for many. Even a Major in the IDF made the same point less than 48 hrs ago.
Israel should be discussed. In every way. If judiasm is raised in a negative manner, then the anti semitism allegation could be applied.
